While permits are required for various construction activities, the Tiburon Fire Protection District does not use a permit application.  Plan submittals for automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, engineered automatic extinguishing systems and tents or temporary membrane structures, shall be accompanied by the appropriate fees for the plan review and inspection.  Plans submitted without such fees are deemed as an incomplete submittal and will not be processed.  Three sets of plans and any associated documents shall be submitted for review.  Automatic fire sprinkler plans, alarm system plans and engineered automatic extinguishing system plans shall be stamped and signed by the appropriate designer/engineer.  Work may only commence after the plans have been approved and a copy of the approved plans are at the job site.  In order to simplify things for the general contractors we usually combine our permit with the building permit in accordance with Section 105.1.3 CFC.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact us for clarification.
