Tiburon Fire Protection District provides safety education to the community, ranging from regularly scheduled CPR classes, classroom fire safety visits, disaster preparedness training, and general safety related public service announcements.

Bay Area Air Quality Updates/No Burn Days

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s goal is to achieve clean air to protect the public's health and the environment of the San Francisco Bay region. Their goals are to:
· Attain and Maintain Air Quality Standards
· Increase Public Awareness of Positive Air Quality Choices
· Develop and Implement Protocol and Policies for environmental justice

Public Access Defibrillator Program

The Tiburon Fire District is passionate about saving lives and enhancing the quality of the lives we save. We feel so strongly about the value this program can bring to you we are willing to give this gift of life to you and your patrons. To shave a few minutes off the time between when someone goes down and emergency medical service care begins we will happily:

• Coordinate the PAD program with the County of Marin

• Provide you with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)

• Install the AED in you establishment at no charge

• Offer initial training to your Response Team in AED/CPR by a Certified EMT of the Fire District at no charge

CPR and First Aid Class Schedule

All classes will be held at the Tiburon Police Station EOC. CPR class cost is $15, First Aid class cost is $35. To register bring your money to the Tiburon Fire station at 1679 Tiburon Blvd, Tiburon CA prior to the class. Special times and dates for other classes may be arranged for groups of 10+.

The City of Belvedere and the Town of Tiburon offer a free 2 hour disaster preparedness class to help you and your family prepare of any type of disaster. After a major disaster, emergency responders will be overwhelmed and it is likely that our peninsula will be isolated from outside assistance. Therefore, citizens must be prepared to care for themselves and their families for at least 5-7 days.
