The twenty-third annual Tiburon Triathlon will be on the 28th of July 2013 - as always, the last Sunday in July. The course is a half mile swim (not measured, so it varies from year to year), a nine mile bike, and a two mile run. Proceeds benefit the Tiburon Volunteer Firefighters Association.
DRIVING AND PARKING DIRECTIONS:Please allow extra driving time across the Golden Gate Bridge for the San Francisco Marathon which takes place that morning also.
From San Francisco or the Peninsula, take Hwy. 101 north from the Golden Gate Bridge about five miles to Tiburon Blvd. From the East Bay, take the first exit after the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge onto to Sir Francis Drake Blvd. which will lead you around scenic San Quentin Prison to Hwy. 101 south toward Mill Valley and Tiburon Blvd. Take Tiburon Blvd. east about three miles to downtown Tiburon. There are several parking lots in Tiburon near Chase Bank and Bank of America. There is some street parking.
Please do not park in Belvedere. We impose enough on them without clogging up their streets with a bunch of cars.
With your bike and other gear, walk about three blocks west on Beach Road to Belvedere Community Park. You can’t miss it.
